Maria Downey AHPC
I obtained my Masters in Hand Therapy from the University of Derby, United Kingdom and degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Having lived in Singapore for more than 10 years specialising in the treatment of hand, elbow, and upper limb injuries, I have discovered immense satisfaction and joy in focusing on hand injury rehabilitation. Even seemingly mundane tasks, like washing your back in the shower, can become a challenge in the face of hand pain.
I firmly believe that nobody should endure unnecessary suffering. Witnessing firsthand how pain can disrupt even the most basic activities has reinforced my commitment to providing comprehensive assessment, compassionate care and effective treatment solutions. My passion lies in restoring function and improving quality of life for individuals experiencing hand pain, ensuring that they can return to their activities and sports and enjoy life to the fullest.
I have a daughter and a dog that keep me active and I enjoy good food, rock climbing and a competitive game of tennis.
