Poonam is a senior physiotherapist with over 20 years of academic and clinical experience in musculoskeletal care. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India, a Master’s degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand, a PhD focused on lumbar spine loading, and a Master of Health Practice in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with Distinction under a Ministry of Health scholarship.
She spent nearly 10 years at Changi General Hospital managing acute and outpatient spinal and musculoskeletal conditions, with a strong interest in chronic pain. Her experience includes sports and para-athlete coverage, and as a certified yoga teacher, she integrates clinical yoga and biopsychosocial principles into rehabilitation.
Poonam has also taken on leadership and teaching roles, including team management, clinician mentorship, and serving as adjunct faculty at the Singapore Institute of Technology. Since moving into private practice in 2022, she was recognised with the Outstanding Physiotherapist Award (Private Sector) 2024.
